Nicoliv-10 Tablet is a vasodilator medicine formulated with Nicorandil 10 mg, designed for the management and prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart). It works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, improving oxygen supply to the heart muscles and reducing the heart’s workload. Nicorandil acts through dual mechanisms—nitrate-like action and potassium channel opening—making it effective in preventing angina attacks and improving exercise tolerance. This medication is commonly used in patients with stable angina who cannot tolerate other anti-anginal treatments.

Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, flushing, and nausea. Some patients may experience mouth ulcers or hypotension. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if severe adverse effects appear.

Indicated for the long-term prevention and treatment of chronic stable angina, especially in patients with intolerance or contraindications to beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers.

Not suitable for patients with very low blood pressure or those using phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors. Caution is advised in liver or kidney impairment. Pregnant or lactating women should use only under medical advice.
