Nitroglycerin (2.6mg)
Nitrowave 2.6 Tablet contains Nitroglycerine 2.6 mg, a vasodilator used primarily in the management of angina pectoris (chest pain). It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, allowing more oxygen-rich blood to flow to the heart muscle, thereby reducing its workload and relieving chest discomfort. This medication belongs to the nitrate class and is widely used for both the prevention and relief of angina attacks in patients with coronary artery disease.
Common side effects include headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, and a drop in blood pressure. Some patients may also experience flushing, nausea, or palpitations. These effects are often transient but should be monitored, especially during initial dosing or dose adjustments.
Nitrowave 2.6 is indicated for the prevention of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease. It may also be used as part of the long-term treatment plan for patients with chronic stable angina, helping to improve exercise tolerance and reduce the frequency of chest pain episodes.
This medicine should be used strictly as prescribed. Avoid abrupt discontinuation without consulting a physician. Do not use with phosphodiesterase inhibitors (like sildenafil) due to the risk of severe hypotension. Patients should rise slowly from sitting or lying positions to reduce the risk of dizziness or fainting.
Store at 15°C to 30°C, in a cool and dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
